ISLAMIC, Time of the Rashidun. Pseudo-Byzantine types. Fals (Bronze, 16x29 mm, 5.70 g, 12 h), imitating a 'Cyprus follis', uncertain mint, 5/16-23/4 AH = 637-643 AD. Three imperial figures standing facing, each wearing crown surmounted by cross and holding globus cruciger in his right hand. Rev. Large M between blundered legend and X/Ч/II; above, cross; below; Γ; in exergue, [KVΠ]P. H. Pottier, I. Schulze and W. Schulze: 'Pseudo-Byzantine Coinage...', in: RBN 154 (2008), p. 87, Class I.1a. Overstruck on a halved Byzantine follis. Traces of overstriking, otherwise, very fine.
